We have these wonderful discussions on the Taxi forum about tons of things musical. One of them recently was about doing a single act, ie: who likes using backing tracks, what to expect from an audience, how to survive the boredom and how to create with an audience and keep them engaged.

Sue and I have a friend Rachael Chatoor, who is also blogging about her life and making tons of YouTube videos. She’s quite an accomplished singer, and she’s making lots of new connections, because she’s working smart! Yesterday she did her first gig all alone, without a band. Of course she brought her video camera, and what she decided to do was amazing. It’s such an inventive idea. I can only imagine how many people were talking about how fun and different their 3 hour cruise was.
