How to Move Your Brand to the Next Level

It’s simple. You can’t know what you don’t know.

Part of becoming “aware” is understanding that we can’t know everything. There is such great power in that realization. It’s also a form of surrender that actually helps other people who do know what you don’t know, show up. If you assume you know everything you need to know, you’re right. If the results you’re getting aren’t what you want to live with, then it’s pretty obvious, you DON’T yet know what you need to know.

So how do you learn more about what you don’t know? Hire the exact EXPERT you need, to help you move from your point A to point B. You may need a different coach to get from B to C. It always depends who can help you figure out and define your intended path. I say hire the best frikkin expert you can possibly afford, one who takes you OUT of your comfort zone.

Ever since we did the Millionaire Affair series of webinars, Sue and I have known that John Assaraf could be a perfect choice as a coach for us. Although we first heard of him and his wonderful story of manifesting his dream home, through the Secret DVD, it is his interest and dedication to the workings of the mind and beliefs, that are resonating like crazy for me and Sue. John was also incredibly gracious and understanding, when technology wasn’t nearly as cooperative (during the Millionaire Affair). We have signed up for emails about his programs and businesses like ONE Coach, and pretty much everything else he is offering to the world.

But this is where the rubber meets the road. We learned how much money his coaching was going to cost us.

John was kind enough to do 3 free calls with us before we hired him as our coach. Funny how some people want to define what services they will provide as a coach. I’ve always thought a coach as simply the guy (or woman) who will figure out how to help you see your strengths and weaknesses, and help you get better at both. Some people think a coach should be this or that… I think what Sue and I need from a coach is to be willing to adapt to our specific needs. Because it’s both Sue and I together that are being coached, I think a very broad-minded approach is going to suit us as a team.

We have always told everyone as much as we can about our dreams of becoming multi-millionaires and sharing what we learn every step of the way. Every once in a while, I want to divulge something that Sue thinks is too revealing. One of the things I always want to reveal is how much money we earn, or what our expenses are. Sometimes we disagree, so I try to be as cooperative with my wife as I can.

Once in awhile people even read our blog posts and disagree vehemently about our belief in the Law of Attraction or that positive thoughts become events & things (as well as negative thoughts becoming reality).

One of my newest beliefs, a BIG one I did not have a few short years ago… is that spending money is a form of showing appreciation for something we’re inviting into our lives. ie: We appreciate fancy cars… so we spend the money to have them. We appreciate a beautiful home, therefore we are willing to spend the amount of money it takes to acquire said beautiful home. We appreciate great food being served to us in a beautiful environment, so we gladly spend what it takes to enjoy that great food.

So in a nutshell, we are paying John Assaraf $2500 per hour for his advice.

Now you may or may not think that is smart. Truthfully, I’m writing the blog post to prod you into wondering where you draw your line in the sand. People say, it costs money to make money. I agree.

How you or I feel about spending has EVERYTHING to do with how much money enters our lives and bank accounts. I have no desire to hoard money, I simply want to have fun spending it and giving it away to the people and causes I believe in.

And I love the idea of showing my appreciation in the form of money, to John Assaraf, who is willing to show, teach and cajole me and Sue into thinking BIGGER.

How much are you willing to spend on your own success?

Yesterday our call started with:

Steve: “hey, we match”.
John: “haha, yes we do…but I couldn’t afford sleeves”.
Steve: “I couldn’t afford biceps”.

And yes I admit it, I was star-struck, plain and simple. I was reaching for a joke to try and impress him… yes I do that thing. Although right now, I’m feeling a little like self-deprecating humour isn’t actually what I want to send out to the universe. And I play hockey lots… my biceps are fine. Guess I’m still human! hehe OTOH, John said the F word in a playful way during the call. And now, I’m not starstruck anymore!

Assaraf kicks Ass!
