Happiness depends on what we decide to think about. We can't fix every lousy situation in the world. Some ideas are indeed not worth pursuing. Sue and I have blundered a few times... and we're usually willing to admit it in videos, and then do our best to laugh it off. It's all a part of creating our life they way we want. That includes learning where to draw the line. We can't teach anyone what is right for them or what is wrong. I don't know if anyone has a perfect rule about when it's time to stop. My personal guideline is, when something stops being fun... stop doing it. I recently stopped playing piano in Casinos because I was coming home every night in a lousy mood, after playing music in a great band. Playing music in bands has been my religion... it wasn't a decision I took lightly. But I thought about it, and I know what I want is to connect with people. I don't actually want to haul a bunch of heavy piano equipment around, work 'til 1 in the morning and then get up 4 or 5 hours later to bring our kids to hockey.
