Swimming & surfing in a sea of great intentions
1 Comment December 11, 2008 / Posted in The Wealthy Songwriter by Steve.I surf constantly these days. I spend more time surfing and learning than I do making music. I would have never thought I’d become so excited about learning new stuff that I slacked off on creating new music. And the best part is, I’m totally Ok with this new path. To me it’s an essential part of immersing myself in my new occupation/career path. I’m going to do a video soon on the concept of completely surrounding yourself with what you want to be involved in. Need a good title.
These are blogs that I read, to keep myself informed of what is developing in the music biz. Maybe, they’ll interest you too. Be careful tho, you could end up swimming in new knowledge for years!

There are hundreds of creative forums out there in internet land. Anybody can join them. Becoming part of any of these communities will give you tons of connections and hope. Here are the Forums that I read and contribute to daily:

And some others that I check out when I have extra time:

These below are more places to learn great stuff. They are the correct URLs, but for some reason, I can’t get these links to automatically take you there. So just copy & paste if you’re interested.

And I just found this really cool thing on Muse’s Muse. You see – this is why I surf. I just realized, the Sue and Steve show needs some kind of meditation page like this on our web blog too! Maybe ours could be simpler.

And IMHO, the granddaddy of all websites to me is YouTube.

Having swum in a sea of great intentions for most of my life, I’m now listing them, valuing my ideas more, and setting intentions through NLP. I’ve got my own proof now that intention setting works. Also that it’s important to define the intention carefully lol!
